OPTIMUM SHOULDER FUNCTION

The shoulder is the joint which requires the most muscle functional balance to ensure optimum mechanics and function.  The kinetics of the scapula dictate the shoulder joints efficient action.  Performance, injury prevention and rehabilitation require an excellent working knowledge of how this synergy comes together.

Pilates offers a unique pathway to ensure clients achieve a functional balance around the shoulder.  This workshop reviews the anatomy and mechanics, looks at common client presentations and importantly integrates the pilates repertoire and suitable modifications into a client orientated programme.  Participants will also get some unique insights and cues to use in  everyday practice.  Importantly you will learn to love working with clients who have scapula/shoulder issues.
